Pods and managers
As your team grows past a handful of reps, you probably do not want to be the only person watching practice activity. Pods let you group reps, and pod managers get a scoped view of their own people.
Create a pod
A pod is just a label — name it whatever fits your team: "SDRs", "AEs", "EMEA", "Team North". To put a rep in a pod:
- Open Members.
- On the rep's row, type the pod name into the Pod field (up to 60 characters).
- Click Set.
Use the exact same spelling for everyone in the pod — the label is what groups them. To remove someone from a pod, clear the field and click Set again.
Promote a pod manager
On the same row, click Make manager. Combined with a pod label, that gives them a manager's view of their pod. You can reverse it anytime with Demote to rep.
What managers can see and do
Managers get the team dashboard, scoped to their pod:
- Practice activity, scores, and trends for the reps in their pod.
- Recent calls and each rep's coaching reports — scores, strengths, gaps, and per-turn feedback. Like owners, they never see transcripts or audio.
A manager who has no pod set sees the whole team on the dashboard. Give managers a pod when you want their view limited to their own people.
Managers do not get the management tabs. Assignments, Scenarios, Members, Billing, and Settings stay owner-only, and so does the CSV export. There is exactly one owner per team — the person who created it.
When pods are worth it
- Regional teams — give each region's lead visibility into their own reps without exposing everyone else's numbers.
- Function splits — keep SDR and AE practice separate so each lead coaches against the right bar.
- Team leads — let a senior rep track their pod's reports and run coaching conversations, while billing and roster changes stay with you.
