Custom scenarios
The built-in scenario catalogue covers the classics — prospecting, objections, closing. Custom scenarios cover your classics: the deal that always stalls at procurement, the churn-risk renewal, the gatekeeper who will not budge. You author them on the Scenarios tab (owner-only).
Write a scenario
- Open Scenarios.
- Describe the situation your reps keep facing, in a few sentences (40 to 2,000 characters). Include who the buyer is, where the deal stands, and what usually goes wrong.
- Click Generate scenario. We turn your brief into a complete practice scenario built around your team sell profile: a name, a one-line tagline, the setup, a stage-by-stage call arc (what the buyer does and what the rep should aim for at each stage), and the key moments the scoring focuses on.
- Review the preview. Not quite right? Edit your brief and click Regenerate.
- Happy with it? Click Save for the team. It goes live immediately.
Scenarios are built on top of your team sell profile, so you need to set that up first. Difficulty is not baked into a scenario — reps (or you, via assignments) choose Easy, Realistic, or Hard for each call.
How reps run it
Saved scenarios appear in every member's scenario picker, in their own custom section alongside the built-in catalogue. You can also push one directly through Assignments with a difficulty and due date.
Writing scenarios that mirror your market
- Start from a real lost deal. "Loved the demo, CFO killed it over annual terms" produces a sharper scenario than "handle pricing objections".
- Name the buyer role. A procurement lead, an ops manager, and a founder push back very differently.
- Describe the turning point. What is the exact pushback your reps fumble? Put its wording in the brief.
- One situation per scenario. If your brief has three problems in it, write three scenarios.
Archiving
Click Archive on any live scenario to retire it. It disappears from the picker and from assignment options, but past reports from it keep working. Generation is rate-limited to a handful of drafts per hour, so if you hit the limit, give it a little while and come back.
